A NATIONAL CALL TO PRAYER
DAY OF PRAYER
FOR THE RESTORATION OF MODESTY AND PURITY
FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION
March 25, 2009
On March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation, we commemorate the Incarnation of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are asking all Christians to come together in a spirit of prayer and penance. Take a moment on this day to beg the Lord to shine His light upon our country. Please spend just a few minutes in prayer on this day asking that our country return to a spirit of purity and modesty. Gather friends and family together in chapel or at home for this most noble cause.
We live in the midst of turbulent times. Our country has steadily refused to acknowledge God and we are reaping the consequences. No longer do people fear offending God, indeed, declaring war against God in our country seems to be reaching fever pitch. The youth of our country no longer understand, not to mention recognize, the beauty of purity. Is it any wonder they are lost? Is it any wonder abortions have increased exponentially? Our Lord said, Blessed are the clean of heart for they shall see God. How can we expect our youth to accept the Lord in their hearts when their minds and bodies are corrupted by impurity? For the sake of our children, for the sake of the future of our country let us come together in prayer to ask the Lord, Jesus Christ to come to our aid for it is only through a moral miracle that our country can be reclaimed for God.
