Dear Mrs Kim Ha,

My name is Minh Hang. I sent you an email last week and asked for information on how to help the poor in Vietnam. Today I read your story about your own experience when you escape VN. Then I read many more sad stories(letters) mostly from Sikiew, Thailand in 1994 on your website.

Words cannot describe my feeling and sorrow for you and other unfortunate brothers and sisters (we are all brother and sister in God eyes). I cannot stop crying when I read the letter from Cô Trần thị Ngọc Trinh. From her letter, I can tell she is my age(38) by now. I was too young and live a good life in 1994 and know nothing about these suffering. I wish that I could help in some way.

Now these concentration camp no longer exists. Here is my question: Is there any chance you still keep in touch with the people who sent these letters and asked you for help? I know it is been 13 years. But I never know. Can you tell me if it is possible for me to help these people in some ways?

Sorry to bother you on this. I hate to bring this subject back to your life. I hope you understand why I send this email. I just want to help.

Thanks

Minh Hang

Dear Minh Hang,

Thank you for your letter. It touched my heart! I am sorry that I do not know anything more about their destiny. It has been 13 years since those letters were sent to me. I know that much of those refugees were sent back to Viet Nam. Some of them might be re-settled in the third countries, such as the USA or some other free countries. I hope that those people will read my book and contact me via emails.

It took so long for me to re-write other refugees' stories and my own story, over 20 years But it is better late than never.

Thank you for sharing your feeling. I treasure your feed-back. That is why I have written 4 different books on the subject of Land Refugees. I hope that the younger generations can read and know what truly happened in Viet Nam and the suffering that our people endured.

May I share your viewpoint with other readers on the www.memaria.org, please?

Thank you, if you really want to help, please pray for our country Viet Nam, for our people, for the souls of refugees who lost their lives on the way to escaped, and especially for the unfortunate refugees who never can come to the free countries. May God bless you!

Kim Ha
