PRAYERS FOR HEALING (2)
http://www.linda-schubert.com/prayer2.shtml In the coming months, we will include here various prayers for healing. We begin with trust. In my travels, I have seen what a big issue trust is with Christians everywhere. May this be a treasured moment between you and Jesus, as you make a deep decision to trust in him, and to entrust your life to Him.
"Prayer of Protection against Terrorism" Loving Father, in humble trust we draw your attention to every act of violence and terrorism being planned for this city (state, country). Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to expose and defeat weapons of destruction. We take authority in Jesus' Name over every planned act of violence and command it to wither and die. Father, forgive those who would seek to harm others and bring them into a healed relationship with our Lord Jesus. Thank You for protecting our city. Thank You for alerting many intercessors to pray a shield of protection around our city and around those individuals assigned to protect the people of our city. Holy Spirit, come. Release the peace of Christ into our city. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
"...be well versed in all that is good yet pure as to what is evil and God, he giver of peace, will crush Satan under your feet" (Rom 16:19-20).
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)
"Jesus, I trust in you." Jesus, I surrender my life to You today. I turn away from things not pleasing to You, and I turn to you. I will not let anything separate me from You. I stand close to You. I trust You, and entrust my life to You. Be my savior and my Lord.
I choose to have full confidence in You, rely on You, depend on You in every circumstance, knowing You are trustworthy, dependable, loyal and unchanging. Jesus, I know that You are loving me right now. Thank You for keeping me in perfect peace as I keep my mind steadfast in You.
I receive Your love. I remove all barriers to Your love and invite You into the places in my life that hurt most. In every place in my life that has been injured by those who are not trustworthy, I receive Your healing in that hurting area. I know that people will hurt me, but You will never hurt me. You have a wonderful plan for my life, and desire only good for me. I know that as I surrender my hurts to You, You can turn even the worst situation around for my good, as You promise in Romans 8:28, that in all things You will work for the good of those who love You. Father, work for the good in my situation today.
As I invite you into the middle of the trauma and pain, thank You for bringing life where there has been death, healing where there has been hurt, forgiveness where there has been injury. Father, I will begin 1997 with a commitment to trust in You in every circumstance, and entrust every moment of the day into Your care. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. "...in quietness and trust is your strength" (Isaiah 30:15)
"Reporting for Duty" Lord Jesus, I give this day to You. I present myself to You to use in any way You choose. Assign me to serve as You wish. Use my mind, my voice, my hands, my heart. I will gladly share with others what You have done for me. I will share my life, my heart, my resources. I will lay hands on the sick and be an avenue for Your healing power. I will be courageous in walking where You ask me to walk and saying what You prompt me to say. When I hear Your voice I will say "Yes, Lord" with a soft and open heart. I will be an instrument of reconciliation today. I will love, love, love. I will love, love, love. I will receive others in love and pray for them. Each one I meet today, Lord, will be touched by the power of Your love flowing through me. And when the day is over I will return it all to You in gratitude. I will rest, and open myself so You can restore me and prepare me for the next day when I report for duty.
